DeafHear.ie Family Service comprises of professionally qualified Social Workers and Family Support Workers who are familiar with all aspects of deafness and hearing loss.
If you are concerned about your own, your child's or other family members' hearing loss. The family service will be provided to you through the communication mode of your choice of Irish Sign Language, Lip Reading, and Lip Speaking etc.
This service is available to provide support on a range of issues including personal and relationship difficulties, coping with diagnosis, adjustment to deafness and hearing loss and behavioral issues.
The support provided includes:
- Social Work and Counselling
- Family Therapy
- Mental health Support
- Parenting Support
- Housing & Accommodation
- Support with rights and entitlements
- Advocacy
