Tinnitus Aware Week
February 8th – 14th, 2010
Tinnitus is a condition in which people experience sounds in their ears or head which do not a have an external cause. The noises may be heard as ringing, whistling, roaring, rumbling, clicking or other variations. One or both ears can be affected. At the present time there is no cure but the condition can be managed.
There are approximately 45,000 people in Ireland with this condition.
We are hoping to reach thousands of people across the country with this awareness campaign. the focus will be on two relevant themes: the effect of stress on tinnitus and the risks of exposure to loud music.
In Dublin, at our North Frederick Street premises,
we are holding a ‘drop in’ service:
Monday Feb 8th – Friday Feb12th
10.00am–1.00pm & 2.00pm– 4.00pm |
